Established in 1992, Costa Verde holds itself, nowadays, as one of the most modern porcelain production units in the world. Located in Vagos, in the district of Aveiro, the factory has been strengthening its production capacity throughout the years, by growing in a sustained and responsible way.

1. Porcelain fired at 1400oC of temperature

Costa Verde’s porcelain undergoes two firing stages throughout its production. After a first stage (in which it faces temperatures of 1000oC) the porcelain undergoes a second firing, in which the temperature reaches 1400oC. This is one of the secrets for creating waterproof and highly resistant pieces.

 

2. More than 30 points of sale in Portugal

Thanks to their quality, Costa Verde’s pieces are present all over the world. In Portugal, you have certainly found them across the most reputable hotels and restaurants.

3. 12 Pieces comprise the Rustic collection

The Rustico collection is one of the most popular from Costa Verde, both for the domestic segment and for hotels and restaurants. 5. Pieces produced in between 48 and 72 hours

Costa Verde’s porcelain pieces go through several stages throughout their production process, such as moulding, filling and firing. Did you know that, on average, it takes between 48 and 72 hours to transform raw materials into a porcelain piece?

 

6. 70% of production for export

The company has been able to keep up with the demands of the market through successive investments at its industrial unit. Production capacity has increased significantly over time and exports, nowadays, exceed 70% of production.

 

7. 16 Collections

Under a clean and traditional design, or with modern and irreverent lines, Costa Verde has diversified its products, in order to meet different demands. Sixteen collections of products  have been developed, aiming to meet the most diverse needs.
