Following the epidemiological evolution of Covid-19, by considering the recommendations from the General Directorate of Health and the State of Emergency Declaration by the President of the Republic of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, as well as the forced activity shutdown, across the markets where it operates, Costa Verde informs that it will suspend its activity between March 30th and April 17th.

Sensitive to the well-being and safety of its employees, stakeholders and clients, Costa Verde had already implemented a complete and rigorous Contingency Plan, aiming to reduce the spread of the new coronavirus, which includes the following measures:

  • Our commercial and purchasing team will limit the number of visits, and face-to-face meetings, to what is strictly necessary and previously agreed, by privileging the technological means within reach, such as telephone, e-mail, amongst others;
  • In the event of loading and unloading, the drivers must stay inside the truck, until further instructions from Costa Verde;
  • We will keep the social distance, as established by the General Directorate for Health;

Despite the above described measures, the emerging epidemic panorama forced us to take the decision of activity suspension, which runs from March 30th to April 17th.

We thank you for all your understanding and regret any unforeseen event or embarrassment, brought by this decision.

We take this opportunity to appeal to your sympathy, so that we can all overcome this extraordinary and unprecedented situation, but which brought about, in recent days, values such as teamwork, overcoming and sympathy.

Best regards.
